Translation Process - Korean

English
Korean
  • Korean is one of the languages in which we have received the EN 15038 EN-15038 European Quality Standard for Translation Service Providers certificate.
  • First, we define the level of status (high, middle, low level) which will be addressed in the document and the declension is made according to that. Skipping this very important step in Korean translations can lead to significant delays Korean official institutions.
  • Once the translation preparation stage has been completed, the certified translator assigned to the project finishes the translation according to the guidelines and submits it to an editor. Translations are returned to the client after a thorough check for accuracy and consistency.

Language Information - Korean

Korean
Philological information about Korean was prepared by the Translation Studies division of Dijital Tercüme.

Korean is an Altaic language spoken by a total of 78 million people worldwide, especially in North Korea, South Korea and the northeast of China. The most important feature of Korean is that it is a language spoken according to people's social status (high, middle, low), so in other words this means that people in the higher or lower strata of the social class are addressed with different forms of the same word. The correct use of these forms have a lot of importance for Koreans in terms of social order and respect.
Korean is audited by the National Institute in terms of grammar and new words. Although in the past, Korean was written in Chinese characters, today it uses the Korean alphabet Hangul which is characterised by the form taken by the mouth and the tongue. Korean is the name of the spoken language.  Worldwide, as well as being the official languages of South Korea and North Korea, it is spoken by Korean migrants in Russia, Australia, the USA, Brazil, Japan and the Philippines.
From an etymological perspective, the origins of Korean have been thought to belong to the Altaic languages family by philologists throughout history, and that being said it is still unclear which branch of the language family it belongs to. It is an agglutinative language. In terms of writing and reading, it is the easiest of the Far Eastern languages.
